Об историчности образа черкеса Арганта в поэме Торквато Тассо «Освобожденный Иерусалим»

Аннотация
Имагологический подход, сочетающий в себе методологические компоненты, заимствованные из литературоведения, языкознания и историографии, предоставляет возможности для системно-комплексного изучения образов стран и народов в письменном дискурсе. Актуальность этого подхода для анализа текстуальных репрезентаций адыгской идентичности продиктована, в частности, проблемой дефицита релевантных средневековых источников. Метод способствует выявлению малоизвестных документов и расширению источниковой базы адыговедения. В предлагаемой статье, подготовленной по материалам монографии автора (цитируется в тексте), исследуется вопрос исторической обусловленности образа черкеса Арганта, одного из основных действующих лиц поэмы Торквато Тассо «Освобожденный Иерусалим». Указаны историографические и нарративные источники, содержащие сведения о полководцах черкесского (адыгского) происхождения, состоявших на службе у Хамданидов Алеппо и египетских Фатимидов. Показана типологическая достоверность образа Арганта – этнического черкеса, включенного автором поэмы в государственную структуру Фатимидского Египта.
