RESTORATION OF THE KABARDINO-BALKARIA ECONOMY UNDER THE CONDITIONS OF WAR TIME: EXPERIENCE AND PROBLEMS

Abstract
This article, based on published materials, archival documents and other sources, examines the experience of central and local authorities, labor collectives and the entire population of Kabardino-Balkaria in restoring the national economy in wartime conditions. The adopted regulatory documents on the revival of industry and agriculture of the republic are analyzed. The features of the process of restoring the industrial potential of the transport network and communications of the republic are revealed. Particular attention is paid to the revival and development of defense enterprises: such as the Nalchik Machine-Building Plant No. 4, the Tyrnyauz Tungsten-Molybdenum Plant, the Baksan Hydroelectric Power Station, the Dokshukinsky Acetone-Butanol Plant, and the Nalchik Confectionery Factory. The course of restoration and development of the agricultural sector of the economy is analyzed. The results of the restoration of industrial and agricultural production are summarized. It is noted that thanks to the help of financial means, equipment, machinery, specialists of the Union State, regions and the dedicated work of workers, collective farmers, engineering and technical workers of Kabardino-Balkaria, they allowed to revive most industrial enterprises, restore collective farms, state farms, MTS and direct their products to meet the needs front, republic, country. Despite certain successes in the development of the national economy, it was not possible to achieve the pre-war level of industrial and agricultural production in the republic.
